Assignment #7 - Diptych

Tunnel singing has been one of the many things I have loved while being here at BYU and I go every week because it makes me feel like I can handle whatever comes my way. The tunnel may be empty during the day, but on Sunday nights, it is filled with hymns that you can hear from a distance. With the project I loved the idea of having to connect two pictures that tell a story with the help of eachother.

Assignment #6 - B&W Portraits

This is my RA, Jamie Neeley and she is absolutely amazing!

This is Miya Wilson my dorm neighbor and she is one of the most happy and most humble people you will ever meet.

This is Trent and I met him while he was working at the Creamery. He is very much a people person and was happy to take some pictures.

I loved doing these pictures and being able to learn how to convert to black and white. I never thought that much  thought would have to be put into converting the pictures to black and white but paying attention to the details helped me to learn and become better at these types of conversions. It was also fun getting to work with people again and getting to meet new people once again.

Assignment #5 - Color Portraits

This is my great Uncle Roy who is very dear to me. In this picture I told him to think about when his first biological child was born.

This is someone who I did not know, my roommates cousin, Savannah and her favorite thing to do is shop, and there was no better way to put her, other than her element.

This is me, definitely NOT being me. A couch potatoe. I never want to become one of these.

This portrait assignment taught me to get to know people more intimately and know their back stories and know exactly who they are. It helped me to step out of my comfort zone and try to picture someone else's world, or being a part of their world.
