Final Project: Young at Heart

Many people in the world today are so serious with their lives, always going to work and having meetings to go to and taking their children places and we forget about that element we had during our childhood. The young at heart. I grew up with six other sisters, two sets of twins, and there was never a dull moment in the home. We grew up going on family vacations and staying up late looking at seventeen magazine while listening to the latest music. As we have all gotten older, at times we even lose sight of what truly makes us happy and we realize that sometimes life is being taken too seriously. We must strive to remember our childhood and the things that truly made us young at heart. Through this project I hope to remind people of the good old days where we didn't have to worry about anything and we were just living in the moment. So sit back and remember what the days were like before you forget about them because maybe that's exactly what we need in today's world. Something to remind us that there are times when we can be a kid again and live in the moment.

This is my cousin Allie. When she was little she would read and get Calvin and Hobbes books from her book orders.

This is my roommate Allyson. Ever since she was a little girl, she could remember herself playing hotel with her siblings.

This is my friend Jaci. Since she was little, all she ever wanted to do was go to the park and whatever it was she was happy. From climbing trees to swinging, it was her place.

This is my FHE brother Kyle. When he was a little boy, he played baseball and would toss his ball around even if he was by himself.

This is my RA Jamie. She has been dancing her whole life and she still remembers dancing when she was little and it has been with her ever since.

This is another one of my FHE brothers Alan. He loved to play soccer as a child and even though he doesn't play much anymore, soccer is one of his favorite childhood memories.

This is my friend Karen. Blowing bubbles was one of her favorite things to do as a kid whenever there was never anything to do.

This is my FHE brother Britton. Since he was little he has built and collected legos. It is one of the things that he enjoys still today.

This is my FHE brother Koa. Since he was a little boy he has been swimming. Swimming is his passion and will always be dear to him.

This is my FHE brother Brent. Ever since he was little he has had a love for reading books. Even on mutual nights he would wait in the library reading books until him mom came to pick him up.

Lastly, I wanted a picture to represent me and my childhood days. Ever since I can remember I have loved Disney and Mickey Mouse and the fact that I knew my dreams could come true. It has and will always be a part of me.

I represented these childhood memories with all college students mainly because this is one of the most crucial times that we can forget about our childhood and those times where we really didn't have to worry about anything and we showed our true selves.
